Year 6 is more than the end of primary school. It is the beginning of a new chapter.
As students prepare to step into high school, they enter a season of change: new environments, new friendships, greater independence, and larger decisions. Yet readiness for this transition is not only academic — it is inward.

The Next Chapter is an immersive character formation and creative growth experience that invites Year 6 students to pause, reflect, and prepare for the journey ahead. Grounded in the principles of Islamic pedagogy, students explore their inner world — discovering how their thoughts, emotions, intentions, and choices shape the person they are becoming.
More than a workshop, this is an opportunity to pause before moving forward: to look inward, reflect on who they are, and begin thinking intentionally about who they want to become. It is character formation in motion — forming the inner qualities, intentions, and virtues students will carry into high school and beyond.
What will we explore

Understanding My Inner World
Explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, intentions and actions, and develop greater awareness of what is happening within.
Making Choices with Purpose
Learn to recognise the space between feeling and action, and discover how intentional choices shape character.
Managing Emotions
Develop practical strategies for navigating strong emotions, challenging situations and moments of pressure.
Friendships & Influence
Reflect on the friendships we choose, the influence of others and how to remain grounded in our values.
Who Am I Becoming?
Explore identity, values and character, and think deeply about the person each student wants to become.
Creating My Next Chapter
Through a hands-on creative arts experience, students will transform their reflections into a meaningful piece of art that represents their values, aspirations and character journey.

Students will participate in a guided creative experience designed to help them visually express their inner world, personal values and vision for the person they are becoming. Every student will create a meaningful artwork to take home as a personal reminder of their journey.
